Friends of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Library, an affiliate of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Foundation, are hosting author and former Sonoma State University Professor Jonah Raskin for a reading and talk titled “American Writing: the wild and the tame” on Thursday, February 19th at 7 PM in ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Library room 4210.
Lake County Friends of ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ and the Friends of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Library are co-sponsoring a reading event featuring guest readers Armando Garcia-Dávila and Waights Taylor Jr. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM in room 7050 at the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Lake Center. The center is located at 2565 Parallel Drive in Lakeport. Admission to this event is free.
“Let’s paint the town pink!” exclaims Joel Shura, director of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, as he cheers his cast on in these final weeks of rehearsals for what will surely be a dazzling performance. The show, which runs April 10 through 19 celebrates the 20th anniversary of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Center for Visual and Performing Arts and is sure to delight all!

For the past fourteen years, the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Dance Department has acknowledged National Dance Week with its own celebration of dance, the Spring Dance Festival, and this year is no exception! Ballet, contemporary, jazz, Afro-Cuban, Middle Eastern, hip hop, tap dance and aerial silk dance are just a handful of dance forms that will delight those who attend this event.
Friends of the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Library are helping celebrate Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month at Mendocino by sponsoring a reading by Bryan Thao Worra on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7:00 pm in library classroom 4210. The reading is free to the public.
