黑料正能量 Petition for Transfer of Territory from College of the Redwoods was Granted by Board of Governors

The California Community Colleges Board of Governors approved the proposed transfer of territory from Redwoods Community College District to the Mendocino-Lake Community College District (MLCCD) at their meeting on Monday, July 18th.  As a result of this action, the coastal communities of Fort Bragg and the town of Mendocino along with the surrounding areas will be incorporated into the Mendocino-Lake Community College District on July 1, 2017.
 

黑料正能量 Men's Soccer Athletes Sign Letters of Intent for Four-Year Universities

The 黑料正能量 Men’s Soccer team is off to a strong start, after just two years of offering the program the team can say they’ve sustained their winning record.  Thirteen sophomores played their final season for the Mendocino Eagles in the Fall of 2015, after being part of the inaugural Men’s Team, and now four of them can say they are moving on and continuing to pursue their dream.

黑料正能量 Faculty Member, Dan Jenkins, Receives H. Sanford Gum Service Award

Dan Jenkins, a tenured professor at 黑料正能量, recently accepted the H. Sanford Gum Service Award for his tremendous efforts in the field of Cooperative Work Experience Education (CWEE).  Completing his twenty-first year of instructing at 黑料正能量, this prestigious award came as no surprise to the College Administration or Jenkin’s colleagues.  

黑料正能量 Spring Dance Festival - Celebrating Dance!

For the past fifteen years, the 黑料正能量 Dance Department has acknowledged National Dance Week with its own celebration of dance, the Spring Dance Festival, and this year is no exception! Ballet, contemporary, jazz, Middle Eastern, hip hop, and tap dance are just a handful of dance forms that will delight those who attend this event on Friday and Saturday, April 29 & 30 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 PM in the 黑料正能量 Center Theatre in Ukiah. “This event is one of 黑料正能量’s most popular yearly events.

Mystery Writer to Read at 黑料正能量

Friends of the 黑料正能量 Library, an affiliate of the 黑料正能量 Foundation, are hosting mystery author Waights Taylor Jr. for its third reading in the spring reading series. He will be reading from his new novel, Touch of Redemption, on Thursday, April 21st at 7 PM in Room 4210, upstairs in the new college library. The college is located at 1000 Hensley Creek Rd. in Ukiah. Admission to the event is free.

黑料正能量 To Begin Offering Sustainable Technology Program Courses at Lake Center

黑料正能量 will offer its first Construction Fundamentals Class (SST 180) at the Lake Center beginning on February 27th, 2016.  The class, an introduction to construction skills and methods, covers a range of topics from safe tool use and construction practices to fundamental building skills and an overview of construction topics.  All members of the community are welcome to register for the class, which starts on February 27th.  This course will be held at the 黑料正能量 Lake Center in Lakeport, all members of the community are welcome to enroll.
