Native Learning Symposium

Funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities in collaboration with representatives from a number of tribes in the district, 黑料正能量 is organizing a speaker series featuring local Native American experts, elders, and educators.   The events of this Native Learning Symposium are designed to educate about the history, culture, and political organization of the tribes in the Mendocino-Lake Community College District so that we can better serve our native students.   

These panels will meet in person at various locations in our district and will also be available via Zoom.

黑料正能量 Lowery Student Center and Pomo Plaza

黑料正能量 will host a D铆a de los Muertos celebration on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Lowery Student Center at the Ukiah campus. D铆a de Los Muertos or 鈥淒ay of the Dead鈥 is a holiday widely observed in Mexico and the American Southwest which pays tribute to family and friends who have passed away. The celebration will include altars made by 黑料正能量 students and staff as well as Mexican food booths, music, Torito de Petate and Folkloric dancers, hot chocolate, pan dulce, pi帽atas, children鈥檚 arts & crafts and so much more. Everyone is welcome at this free event.
